Free National Trust Passes until December

National Trust Attingham House

National Trust sites offer a perfect escape for families looking to explore historic properties and stunning landscapes across the UK. Right now, there’s an opportunity to visit for free with a one-time family pass – here’s how to get yours.

How to Claim Your Free National Trust Family Pass

For a limited time, you can pick up a free one-time family pass for National Trust locations by visiting one of the following sites:

This pass allows you to save on admission and enjoy a day out without the usual entry costs (normally £25-£35 for a family ticket). But act quickly – there are only 70,000 passes available, and they’re expected to go fast!

What’s Included in the Pass

The free pass covers entry for:

  • Two adults and up to three children, or
  • One adult and up to four children

This includes most National Trust sites in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, though Scotland locations and English Heritage sites aren’t included. Entry is free, but note that some car parks charge separate fees, which aren’t covered by the pass.

Booking Your Visit in Advance

Some National Trust sites require advance booking. Here’s how to book your free entry:

  • Select “Book a visit” on the site’s page.
  • Choose a member’s ticket and use the code REACHPASS24 in place of a membership number.

Once booked, bring a copy of your pass (printed or downloaded) and the email confirmation. If your site has limited mobile coverage, consider downloading or printing your pass in advance to avoid any issues.

Excluded Sites

A few National Trust locations are excluded from this offer. Below are some key exclusions:

  • London and South East: Wakehurst Place, 2 Willow Road, Clandon Park
  • Midlands: Grantham House, Farnborough Hall
  • North of England: Cragside, Tatton Park
  • South West: Bath Assembly Rooms, St Michael’s Mount
  • Northern Ireland: The Argory (selected dates only)

For a complete list of exclusions, visit the National Trust’s exclusions page.
