Hotel group Village Hotels has a nice offer on Friday- and Sunday-night stays, with prices from £74 per room, including a decent £30 credit to spend at the onsite pub/restaurants. Some not-very-complicated maths tells us that’s an overnight stay and dinner for £37 per person.
For anyone not familiar with the Village chain, they have 33 properties across the UK that are modern and comfortable. Not luxury, but a big step up from other national chains like Travelodge and similar. Many have gyms, and the bar\grills are usually sports-bar style, showing live games.
