TfL’s Weekend Hopper makes three or four London bus or tram journeys cost the same as one on summer weekends. The normal adult bus and tram daily cap is £5.25, but the Weekend Hopper keeps the day’s bus and tram travel at £1.75.
That is an easy little saving if you’re using buses between markets, museums, parks, pubs, food stops, or a cheap London day out. No code or advance booking is needed. TfL says the fare applies automatically when you use pay as you go with the same contactless card, device, or Oyster card.

The offer runs from 04:30 on 25 July to 23:59 on 31 August, on Saturdays and Sundays. It also covers the August Bank Holiday, Monday 31 August.
It applies to London buses and trams only. If you use the Tube, DLR, London Overground, Elizabeth line, London Cable Car, or River Bus in between, you will pay the normal fare for that part, but TfL says further bus and tram journeys that day can still come under the Weekend Hopper.

- Travel by London bus or tram on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday 31 August during the offer period.
- Touch in with the same contactless card, device, or Oyster card on each journey.
- Budget separately for Tube, rail, cable car, and river journeys, because those are not included in the £1.75 Weekend Hopper fare.
