It can be quite difficult to find outstanding fares in the current January sales, but BA has stepped up with great prices to the US — if you book by 28 January.
Our pick of the sale is on return flights to New York from London on select dates from £360, and as you can see in the screenshot below, flights throughout the year are on offer for not much more.
To give you an idea of the saving, other dates in the same month are mostly £450 or more, while other airlines like Virgin and United are £400+ for the same travel period.
It’s not just New York, either – other sale fares include Boston from £390, Tampa from £398, LA from £430. All fares are return, though you’ll need to pay more to check a bag.
Weirdly, on the New York route we found the cheapest prices by flying out of Heathrow, but back into Gatwick. Play around with the fare finder on the BA site to see which works best for you.
