This Wowcher Algarve deal gets you two nights at the five-star Tivoli Carvoeiro with breakfast and return flights from London for £89 each, or £178 for two. The cheapest double room we found at the hotel alone is £182 for the same two nights, so the flights are effectively free. Booked separately at usual fares, the same trip costs about £344.
What the Wowcher Algarve deal includes
Wowcher’s Algarve beach break page lists what the price covers.
- Two nights at the Tivoli Carvoeiro, a five-star resort with a spa and an indoor pool.
- Breakfast.
- Return flights from London to the Algarve.
| Flight fares used | Book it yourself, for two | Wowcher for two | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Today’s fares, £35 each | £252 | £178 | £74, or 29% |
| Usual fares, about £81 each | £344 | £178 | £166, or 48% |
A £35 return flight from London is rare. Google Flights puts it about £46 below the usual fare. Wowcher’s total is below the hotel’s own room rate. That’s the deal.
Is the Wowcher Algarve deal good value?
Yes, on the two-night price. You pay £178 for what costs £252 at today’s cheap fares and about £344 at usual ones. That’s a saving of £74 to £166 for two people.
What’s the catch?
It’s December in Portugal, so expect highs in the mid-teens, not swimming weather. The deal page doesn’t say which airline you fly with or what baggage is included.
- Baggage, the airline, flight times and airport transfers aren’t listed on the deal page, so check them before you pay.
- The price climbs from 21 December.
- Longer stays cost more per night, at about £45, £53 and £57 per person. We haven’t benchmarked those, so check them before you book.
Carvoeiro is a small cliffside village with a sandy beach below. It’s busy in summer and quiet in winter, so it’s good for a walk before the spa.

“A five-star Algarve resort with a spa, an indoor pool, breakfast and flights from London, for less than the room costs on its own. That’s a proper find for a winter break built around the spa. Don’t expect a beach holiday. Prices rise from 21 December. I’d go before then.”

The verdict
Book it if you want a short winter break and can travel before prices rise on 21 December. Skip it if you need a hold bag or set flight times, because the page doesn’t confirm either. And don’t expect beach weather in December. Our guide to whether Wowcher is legit covers how its travel deals work.

About the Algarve in winter
The photo at the top shows the cliffs at Ponta da Piedade near Lagos, one of the Algarve’s best-known stretches of coast. It isn’t the hotel. The Tivoli Carvoeiro is in Carvoeiro, on the south coast of Portugal.
