DFDS has three-day Dover to France ferry breaks from £119 per car for up to four people, with bookings open until 28 December and travel valid until 31 December 2026.
It’s a strong family or friends price because it covers the car, passengers, and vehicle luggage in one fare. For anyone within reach of Dover, it makes a Calais, Dunkirk, northern France, or even quick Belgium break feel much easier to justify than four separate train or flight tickets.

We checked the live DFDS offer page and terms on 16 June. The £119 lead-in fare is for a standard car carrying up to four passengers on Dover-France routes, returning 72 hours after the outward departure, with the ETS charge included. DFDS says the ticket can be bought online or by phone up to 24 hours before departure, but not for same-day travel.
The offer is valid on Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkirk, subject to availability. Calais is the quicker crossing at around 100 minutes, while Dunkirk takes about two hours and can work nicely if you are heading towards Belgium, Lille, or the wider Hauts-de-France area.
There are two things to know before booking. Accommodation is not included, and changes cost £20 plus any fare difference. DFDS also says cancellations are not allowed, so this is best for travellers who can commit to their dates.
The extra sweetener is duty free. DFDS says travellers who spend €150 in its Calais or Dunkirk port shops on the return can receive a free day trip to use another time, although cigarettes and tobacco are excluded from that perk.
