November to March is the best time to visit Dubai from the UK. Temperatures sit between 22°C and 28°C, skies are consistently clear, and outdoor activity is comfortable throughout the day. From June to September, temperatures exceed 40°C, and for most visitors the heat makes outdoor sightseeing very difficult.

November to March: the main season
This is the window when Dubai works well for UK visitors. Daytime temperatures are roughly equivalent to a warm UK summer, the evenings are comfortable, and the sea temperature sits around 24°C from December onwards. The city is busy, and prices for hotels and flights reflect that.
November is slightly quieter and better value than December. If you are considering Christmas or New Year, book six months or more in advance: hotel prices in central Dubai can double or triple over the festive period, and popular restaurants and attractions sell out quickly.
January is often the best combination of peak-season weather and reasonable value. February is good in the first half of the month, but in 2026 Ramadan begins on 18 February, which changes the atmosphere significantly. To find the cheapest fares for any time of year, our guide to cheap flights from the UK covers the main booking strategies.
Dubai and UK school holidays

School holidays affect both crowd levels and prices in Dubai significantly. October half-term has become a popular choice: the weather is returning to its best (around 30°C), and prices are below the December and January peak.
The summer holidays are the opposite. Flights are cheap and the city is quiet, but temperatures above 40°C make outdoor attractions very difficult to enjoy. Families with young children generally find summer Dubai hard work.
| School holiday | Typical dates | Dubai conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Christmas / New Year | 24 Dec to 5 Jan | Peak crowds and premium prices Peak |
| February half-term | 15 to 22 Feb 2026 | Good weather, but Ramadan starts 18 Feb 2026 Mixed |
| Easter | ~2 to 17 Apr 2026 | Warm (30°C), quieter, better value than winter Good |
| May half-term | 25 May to 1 Jun 2026 | Hot (33°C), quiet, budget prices Warm |
| Summer holidays | ~24 Jul to 2 Sep 2026 | Extreme heat (40°C+), cheapest flights Very hot |
| October half-term | ~26 to 30 Oct 2026 | Warm (30°C), good value, season just starting Good value |
Ramadan in Dubai
Ramadan falls at a different point in the calendar each year. In 2026, it runs from 18 February to around 18 March, with Eid Al Fitr on 19 March.
During Ramadan, restaurants and cafes in public areas close from dawn to dusk, and music is restricted in many venues. Hotels have designated areas where tourists can eat and drink at any time, but the atmosphere across the city changes considerably. If this affects your plans, target the first two weeks of February or wait until late March.
April to October: off-peak and summer
April and May offer a quieter window when prices fall but the weather is still manageable. April sits around 30°C, May around 33°C. Neither is overpowering early in the month, and you will find better deals on hotels and flights than during the winter peak. For context on when fares tend to be lowest, our guide to the cheapest time to fly covers the general patterns.
From June onwards, the heat intensifies quickly. July and August regularly exceed 40°C with significant humidity. The indoor experience, the hotels, the malls, and the restaurants, remains excellent year-round, but if you are planning outdoor sightseeing, the desert, the beaches, and walking between attractions, summer is not the right time to go.
September and October see temperatures returning to comfortable levels. By late October, conditions are close to the winter norm, and the city begins filling up again. October half-term sits right at the start of this recovery, which is why it tends to offer good value.

From March 2026, Emirates added direct routes from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Newcastle, giving Scotland and the north-east of England non-stop access to Dubai for the first time on the Emirates network.

Our verdict

For most UK visitors, November to March is the window to target. If you are flexible on dates, mid-January often offers the best balance: peak-season weather, prices below the December festive spike, and Ramadan still a month away.
October half-term is the standout value option across the full year. You get weather approaching the main season, a growing number of non-stop options from UK airports, and prices that have not yet reached their winter high.
If you prefer year-round warmth closer to home at lower prices, Lanzarote and Turkey are worth comparing. See our latest holiday deals for current prices on Dubai packages and flights.
