c2c has London to Southend Off-Peak returns for £15, now extended to 20 September, less than two £11.30 off-peak singles to Shoeburyness.
That is a decent little seaside-day-out win, and c2c has now pushed the deadline back to 20 September. Kids aged five to 15 can go for £2, and non-London c2c journeys to Southend are capped at £10 return too.
The main booking detail is that you need to buy ahead. c2c says the Off-Peak Summer Advance tickets, now extended, are valid for travel until 20 September, can be bought until 19 September, and must be purchased at least one day before travel. Railcards, GroupSave and c2c’s 1/3 Off Saver do not stack with this fare.
