That is the deal here: getting to the Algarve for less than £15, or to Lisbon and Madeira for under £18, is very cheap for a Mediterranean trip. The fares are one way and they work best if you can travel light, but the lead prices are still unusually low.

The cheapest fare we found on Ryanair’s own Portugal page was Liverpool to Faro on 21 September for £14.99 one way. The same page also listed Edinburgh to Faro from £15.99, London Luton to Faro from £15.99, Manchester to Lisbon from £17.99, and Manchester to Madeira from £17.99 when checked on 3 August.
The main thing to check is baggage. Ryanair says all fares include one small personal bag, 40 x 30 x 20cm, which must fit under the seat. Priority, a second cabin bag or checked luggage costs extra, so the lowest fares work best for a light short break.
