easyJet Plus costs £249 a year. Whether it is worth paying depends almost entirely on how often you fly and what you currently spend on bags and seats.
This guide breaks down every benefit, runs the numbers, and tells you exactly who should and who should not buy it.
What do you get with easyJet Plus?
easyJet Plus gives you seven benefits on every easyJet flight during your membership year.
A free large cabin bag is the most valuable benefit for most members. easyJet’s standard free allowance is a small underseat bag measuring 45×36×20cm. Plus members can bring a larger overhead cabin bag (56×45×25cm) at no extra charge. On a standard booking, that bag costs roughly £8 to £17 per flight. Our easyJet baggage allowance guide covers the full breakdown of what easyJet charges and when.
Speedy Boarding moves you to the front of the boarding queue. With a large cabin bag already included in your fare, getting on early makes finding overhead locker space much easier.
Fast Track security is available at 47 airports including London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted. At busy times this can save 20 to 30 minutes.
Dedicated bag drop at selected airports lets you skip the standard check-in queue when travelling with hold luggage.
Free seat selection applies to every seat including Up Front and Extra Legroom, with no additional charge for the cardholder. Other passengers on the same booking are not covered, each needs their own membership. On standard bookings, easyJet seat selection runs from around £5 for a standard seat to £15 to £30 for a preferred position.
Free same-day earlier flight lets you switch to an earlier return on the day of travel, subject to availability, once you have completed your outbound leg. This does not apply to one-way bookings.
Price Promise gives you a refund in easyJet credit vouchers if your flight drops in price after booking. It applies to your seat only, not to other passengers on the same reservation.
Members also receive 10% off food and drink bought on board.

Fast Track security is one of the less-discussed benefits, but it makes a real difference at Gatwick, Luton and Stansted during busy periods. Being able to walk past a queue that stretches to the terminal entrance saves 20 to 30 minutes at peak times, something you cannot put a precise price on, but it is real.
Speedy Boarding means you board before most other passengers. If you have a large cabin bag and want to guarantee overhead locker space, getting on early removes the anxiety of arriving to find the lockers already full on a packed flight.

Is easyJet Plus worth it? Running the numbers
The calculation hinges on two things: how many flights you take each year, and what you currently pay for bags and seats.
The large cabin bag is the key variable. easyJet charges roughly £8 to £17 per flight for a large cabin bag added at booking. On a return trip that is £16 to £34. Over six return trips (12 flights), you would spend £96 to £204 on bags alone, close to the cost of membership even before counting seat selection.
Add seat selection. If you regularly pay for an Up Front seat at around £20 each way and make six return trips a year, you have spent another £240 in seat fees. Combined with bag fees, your annual easyJet add-on spend is well above £249, and easyJet Plus would have covered all of it.
Break-even point: approximately five to six return flights a year, assuming you pay for a large cabin bag each time. If you also pay for preferred seating, the membership pays off at around four return trips.
The main catch is that the benefits apply only to the cardholder. Travelling as a couple means two memberships at £249 + £215 = £464. A family of four needs four memberships. The per-person maths changes significantly at that point.

The large cabin bag is worth £96 to £204 per year in avoided fees on six return trips. At that level, the membership pays for itself on bags alone, without counting seat selection savings or the Fast Track benefit.
Where the maths gets harder is for families. Two adults travelling together need two memberships at £249 + £215 = £464 a year. That requires eight or nine return trips with bags to break even, a high bar for most leisure travellers.
Who should buy easyJet Plus?
It makes financial sense if you fly with easyJet six or more times a year and regularly need a large cabin bag. It is particularly strong value for solo travellers, couples who both fly frequently enough to justify individual cards, and anyone who commutes on easyJet routes for work.
It is less likely to pay off if you fly fewer than four or five times a year, always check a hold bag instead of relying on a cabin bag, or travel as a larger family where multiple memberships would be required.
One important note: easyJet Plus benefits do not extend automatically to easyJet Holidays package bookings in the same way they do on standalone flights. The process is more involved. Check directly with easyJet if packages are how you usually book.
Before deciding, it is worth reading our guide to how strict easyJet is with hand luggage and the easyJet check-in guide. If the standard underseat bag is enough for how you travel, or if you always check a bag anyway, the membership may not stack up. Our easyJet cabin bag size guide covers exactly what fits where.
How to save 10% on easyJet Plus
Mastercard holders can claim a 10% discount code through the Mastercard Priceless portal. The discount brings the £249 membership down to £224.10. You need to verify your Mastercard number to receive the code.
The discount applies to new memberships only, not renewals, so use it when signing up for the first time.
Frequently asked questions
Is easyJet Plus worth it for occasional flyers?
No, not for most. The £249 annual fee only pays off with around five to six return flights a year, paying for a large cabin bag each time. If you fly three or four times and travel light, the savings will not cover the cost.
Do easyJet Plus benefits apply to my whole family?
No. The benefits apply only to the cardholder. Other passengers on the same booking do not receive the free large cabin bag, Speedy Boarding, Fast Track or free seat selection. Each family member needs their own membership: £215 for a partner, £155 per child aged 2 to 17.
Can I cancel easyJet Plus for a refund?
Yes, within the 14-day cooling-off period. Cancel inside those two weeks and you receive a full refund. After 14 days, the membership is non-refundable.
Does easyJet Plus include a free cabin bag?
Yes. Members can bring a large cabin bag (56×45×25cm) into the overhead locker at no extra charge. Without membership, this costs approximately £8 to £17 per flight at booking. More details in our easyJet cabin bag size guide.
What airports have easyJet Plus Fast Track security?
Fast Track security is available at 47 airports. UK airports in the scheme include London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted. European airports include Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris CDG, among others.
Is there a family easyJet Plus option?
There is no single family membership. You can add members to your account: £215 for a partner, £155 per child aged 2 to 17, free for under-2s. Two adults together cost £464 a year.
How does easyJet Plus compare to buying bags and seats separately?
On six return trips, a traveller paying £12 per flight for a large cabin bag and £8 per flight for a standard seat would spend around £240 in add-on fees. easyJet Plus at £249 costs £9 more but also covers Fast Track security, Speedy Boarding, bag drop priority and Price Promise.
