Published 13 June 2026 | Updated 4 October 2026 by Kate Acaster

easyJet Plus costs £249 a year. Whether it’s worth it depends on how often you fly and what you already pay for bags and seats. Below, we break down every benefit and run the numbers using easyJet’s own average prices, so you can see whether it pays off for you.

What do you get with easyJet Plus?

The membership covers every easyJet flight you book in your membership year, as long as you add your Plus number to the booking. According to easyJet Plus, members get:

  • A large cabin bag (56 x 45 x 25cm) for the overhead locker, on top of the free small under-seat bag (45 x 36 x 20cm). Locker space depends on availability. Our easyJet baggage allowance guide covers the full rules.
  • Free seats, including Up Front and Extra Legroom. Standard seats are free too. See our guide to easyJet seat selection for what each seat type gets you.
  • Speedy Boarding, so you’re among the first on the plane, which helps when you need locker space for that large bag.
  • Fast Track security at more than 40 airports.
  • Dedicated easyJet Plus bag drop desks.
  • A free earlier return flight on the same day, once you’ve flown your outbound leg.
  • Price Promise, a voucher if the same flight is cheaper on easyJet’s site or app.
  • 10% off food and drink on board.

Fast Track is the benefit people forget to set up. It’s added to your boarding pass when your Plus number is on the booking. easyJet says showing the card at security isn’t enough. UK airports on the list include Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and both Belfast airports. Bought on its own, easyJet puts the average cost at about £8 a flight. If you’re unsure, read our take on whether airport fast track is worth it.

The earlier return flight has conditions. It has to be the same day as your original return, seats must be free, and you arrange it by phone with your Plus number. You can switch airports within the same city, such as Gatwick to Luton.

Membership renews automatically 12 months after you get your membership number, and easyJet emails you 40 days before. There’s a 14-day cooling-off period after you first buy and again after each automatic renewal. Cancel by phone inside it and you get a refund minus the value of any benefits you’ve already used.

“easyJet Plus is a bet on your own habits. If you always pay for the big cabin bag and a decent seat, £249 comes back fast, because easyJet’s own averages put the pair at about £59 a flight. If you fly light a couple of times a year, you’re paying a subscription for perks you’d never have bought, and it renews itself every year unless you cancel.”

Is easyJet Plus worth it? Running the numbers

easyJet doesn’t publish fixed prices for bags and seats. They move with demand, route and booking date. Its Plus benefits calculator does give average figures, based on June 2026 data: about £33 per flight for a large cabin bag, £26 for a premium seat and £8 for Fast Track. We use those below. Your own routes may be cheaper or dearer.

  • Large cabin bag only: about eight single flights, or four returns, to cover £249.
  • Large cabin bag and a premium seat: about five single flights.
  • Bag, seat and Fast Track: about four single flights, or two returns.

The catch is that the card covers only the member. Two adults travelling together need two cards, at £249 plus £215, so £464 a year. On easyJet’s averages, that’s about 15 single flights between you before bags alone pay it back, or about eight with a bag and premium seat each time. Families face the same sums with more people. Each child under 16 adds £155, so a couple with two children pays £774 a year before taking a single flight.

Who should buy easyJet Plus?

It makes sense if you fly easyJet four or more times a year and always want a large cabin bag and a chosen seat. Solo travellers and regular work travellers get the most out of it. It’s less likely to pay off if you fly once or twice a year, check a hold bag anyway, or travel as a family that needs several cards.

Booking a package? Ask easyJet how Plus applies before you buy, and see our easyJet holidays guide for how packages work. To time a booking, see our guides to when easyJet releases flights and when easyJet has sales. Bear in mind that Price Promise doesn’t cover sale fares launched after you booked.

Frequently asked questions

Is easyJet Plus worth it for occasional flyers?

Usually not. On easyJet’s own average prices, a large cabin bag costs about £33 per flight, so the £249 fee needs around eight single flights, or four returns, to pay back on bags alone. Fly less than that and travel light, and it won’t pay off.

Do easyJet Plus benefits apply to my whole family?

No. The card is personal, so the benefits only apply to the member. Others on the booking need their own card. Extra memberships cost £215 for a partner, £155 for a child under 16 and £249 for any other adult.

Can I cancel easyJet Plus for a refund?

Yes, within the 14-day cooling-off period after you first buy it, and again for 14 days after each automatic renewal. Cancel by phoning easyJet’s customer services, and easyJet refunds the fee minus the value of any benefits you’ve already used. Membership renews automatically each year, and easyJet emails you 40 days before it does.

Does easyJet Plus include a free cabin bag?

Yes. As well as the free small under-seat bag (45 x 36 x 20cm), members can bring a large cabin bag up to 56 x 45 x 25cm for the overhead locker, subject to locker space.

Which airports have easyJet Plus Fast Track security?

easyJet lists more than 40 airports. UK ones include Aberdeen, Belfast City, Belfast International, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted and Manchester. Add your Plus number to the booking, because showing the card at security isn’t enough.

Is there a family easyJet Plus option?

There’s no single family membership. You add cards to your account: £215 for one partner, £155 each for up to four children under 16, and £249 for other adults. A couple pays £464 a year.

How does easyJet Plus compare to buying bags and seats separately?

easyJet’s own averages put a large cabin bag at about £33 per flight and a premium seat at about £26. Buy both on every flight and £249 is covered after five single flights. Add Fast Track at about £8 and it’s four.

What is easyJet Plus Price Promise and how does it work?

If you find the same flight, same date and flight number, cheaper on easyjet.com or the app, you can claim a refund as an easyJet flights voucher valid for 12 months. It doesn’t apply to sale fares launched after you booked, or if you’ve changed the booking. Claims are made by phone.

Is easyJet Plus the same as an Inclusive Plus fare?

No. Inclusive Plus is a fare you buy for one booking. It bundles a large cabin bag, a 23kg hold bag, a free Up Front seat, Fast Track, Speedy Boarding and some free changes. easyJet Plus is an annual membership that gives its benefits on every flight you book.
