Jet2 online check-in opens 28 days before your flight and closes six hours before departure. The airport desk and Twilight bag drop each run to their own clock. If you have a hold bag or haven’t checked in online, Jet2’s terms say you must be at check-in at least 2 hours before departure, and the desk closes 40 minutes before take-off. Checked in online but carrying a hold bag? You still drop it at the desk, and Jet2’s terms say you must be there at least 2 hours before departure. The desk closes 40 minutes before. Jet2 also warns against turning up much more than three hours early, as the desk or even the terminal may not be open yet.
How to check in online with Jet2
Go to jet2.com and log into Manage My Booking, or open the Jet2 app. You’ll need your booking reference and the lead passenger’s surname.

- Flying home from Turkey: you can’t check in fully online. You can complete the process and see your pre-allocated seats, but you collect your boarding pass at the Jet2 desk before security
Save the boarding pass to your phone as soon as you’ve checked in, rather than relying on finding the email at the gate. If you prefer paper, print it at home before you leave.

If you haven’t checked in online, head to the Jet2 desk. Jet2’s help hub says desks open three hours before departure, and its holidays site says at least two and a half hours. Either way, Jet2’s terms say you must present yourself at least 2 hours before departure, or by the time on your itinerary if that’s earlier. The desk closes 40 minutes before your scheduled departure.
Jet2 Twilight check-in
Twilight check-in lets you drop your bags at the airport the evening before a morning flight, so you skip the desk queue on the day. It’s free and runs at 12 UK airports.
- Check in online between 28 days and 24 hours before your flight
- Bag drop window: 16:30 to 21:00 the evening before departure
- Your flight must depart before midday
- Runs seven days a week, except 25 and 26 December
- One person can drop bags for up to six people on the same booking reference
- Mobility aids can’t go through Twilight and are handled on the day
The Twilight airports are Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow International, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.

Twilight check-in earns its keep if you face a long drive to the airport or an early departure. Several airports also offer free or cheaper parking while you drop the bags, so check your airport’s details on the Jet2 Twilight page. Resort Flight Check-in (Cyprus only)
Jet2holidays customers flying home from Cyprus can use Resort Flight Check-in at selected hotels in Paphos and Larnaca. Check in online at least 72 hours before departure, then hand your bags to the Jet2holidays team at your hotel on the morning you fly home. Your flight must leave after 11am. It’s free, but seasonal: it pauses over the winter (last season from 5 November to 13 April), so check that it’s running for your dates.
