easyJet Holidays: The Complete UK Guide

easyJet Holidays is the package arm of easyJet, launched in 2019. It bundles flights, a hotel and airport transfers into a single booking with full ATOL financial protection. This guide covers what you get in the price, how it compares to booking separately, where you can go and how to get the best deal.

What does an easyJet holiday include?

Every easyJet Holidays package includes return flights, hotel accommodation, a 23kg hold bag per person, and ATOL financial protection (licence number 11694). On beach and resort packages, return airport transfers are also included. City break packages generally do not include transfers.

The 23kg hold bag matters more than it sounds. On a standalone easyJet booking, hold luggage costs roughly £30 to £60 per person per flight. On a family of four doing a return trip, that is potentially £240 to £480 extra on top of flights and hotel. Having it built into the package makes the headline price more competitive than it first appears.

Where can you go with easyJet Holidays?

easyJet Holidays covers more than 80 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, with around 5,000 hotels available. Popular beach options include Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Corfu, Crete, Rhodes, Cyprus, Turkey (Bodrum and Antalya) and Morocco. For city breaks, packages are available to Barcelona, Rome, Lisbon, Amsterdam, Paris and Dubai, among others.

Packages are available from more than a dozen UK airports including London Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Southend; Bristol; Birmingham; Manchester; Leeds Bradford; Newcastle; Edinburgh; Glasgow; and Belfast.

Beach and resort holidays typically run seven or 14 nights. City breaks are usually two to five nights.

The easyJet Protection Promise explained

easyJet Holidays offers a Protection Promise: five specific guarantees that go beyond the minimum required by ATOL law.

The refund guarantee covers you if easyJet Holidays cancels or significantly changes your holiday — including a flight moved by more than three hours. You can claim a full refund within 14 days. The best price guarantee allows a price match if you find the identical holiday cheaper elsewhere within 24 hours of booking.

Deposit protection means you lose only the £60 per person deposit if you cannot travel. Flexible payment lets you pay the balance closer to departure, typically 12 weeks out. Free amendments allow changes to dates, hotel or passenger numbers on most packages, subject to availability and any price difference.

ATOL licence 11694 means that if easyJet Holidays ceased trading, you would be refunded in full if you had not yet travelled, or flown home at no extra cost if already on holiday. That protection does not apply to flights and hotels booked separately.

easyJet Holidays vs booking separately

For a beach trip of a week or more with a family, the package often wins on price once you account for hold luggage and transfers. For a solo weekend city break where you pack light, the savings may be minimal.

The clearest advantage of a package is simplicity: one booking, one point of contact if something goes wrong, and ATOL cover without needing to remember to pay by credit card.

For a straightforward comparison, add up flights, hotel and hold luggage costs for your trip. If you need bags, the package is often within a few pounds of the DIY total, with transfers and ATOL cover included.

How to get the best price on easyJet Holidays

Booking early gives you the best choice of hotels and dates. January and February are the best window for summer packages. Midweek departures are usually cheaper than Friday or Saturday ones.

The last-minute section is worth checking if you can travel within six weeks. The £60 per person deposit option is useful for popular summer departures: it secures the holiday and the price while you sort out time off work.

Frequently asked questions

Is easyJet Holidays ATOL protected?

Yes. easyJet Holidays holds ATOL licence number 11694. If the company ceased trading, you would receive a full refund if you had not yet travelled, or be flown home at no extra cost if you were already on holiday.

What luggage is included in an easyJet holiday?

A 23kg hold bag per person is included as standard, along with your cabin bag. You do not pay separately for hold luggage, unlike on standalone easyJet flight bookings where a hold bag typically costs £30 to £60 per person per flight.

How much deposit do you need for an easyJet holiday?

£60 per person. The balance is typically due around 12 weeks before travel. If you cancel, you lose only the deposit under the Protection Promise.

Can you amend an easyJet holiday?

Yes. Under the Protection Promise, most packages allow free amendments to dates, hotel or passenger numbers, subject to availability and any price difference. If easyJet Holidays cancels or significantly changes your holiday, you can claim a full refund within 14 days.

Does easyJet Holidays include airport transfers?

Transfers are included on most beach and resort packages but generally not on city breaks. Check the package details at booking, as it varies by destination.

Is it cheaper to book an easyJet holiday or separately?

It depends on the trip. For families needing hold luggage on a beach holiday, the package is often comparable or cheaper once bags and transfers are factored in. For a light-packing solo city break, a DIY booking may work out slightly less.
