Virgin Atlantic has launched its latest flight sale, and it’s one of the more worthwhile ones we’ve seen from them recently.
There are return flights from £360 available now, with routes covering the US, Canada, Caribbean, Mexico, India, South Africa and the Maldives. Most of these are direct from the UK, and include meals, hand luggage and in-flight entertainment. If you’re looking to book a long-haul trip for early 2026, this is a good time to check prices.

Our take on the Virgin Atlantic sale
The lowest fare is £360 return for London to New York on selected dates. Other good-value fares include:
- London to Miami – from £387
- London to Toronto – from £377
- London to Boston – from £378
- London to Tampa – from £400
- London to Atlanta – from £537
- London to Cancun – from £472 to £477
- London to Riyadh – from £447
- London to the Maldives – from £594
- Manchester to Atlanta – from £628
- Manchester to Orlando – from £493
- Edinburgh to Orlando – from £459
All fares are Economy Light (hand luggage only) and apply to return flights on selected dates. Most are for travel in January to March 2026, although some destinations show availability earlier or later depending on the route.
This is not an error fare sale, but there are real savings of £100 to £200 compared to standard long-haul prices for the same routes. And with winter dates outside of school holidays, the timing is especially good.
Why this sale stands out
- These are direct flights with a full-service airline, not budget fares with add-ons
- Several routes come in under £400 return, which is rare for long-haul from the UK
- Virgin Economy Light includes meals, entertainment and a cabin bag
- January to March 2026 gives you good weather abroad and cheaper prices at home
- Options from London, Manchester and Edinburgh give better access across the UK
What to know before you book
- These fares do not include checked baggage
- Availability is limited and dates vary, so flexibility helps
- Booking direct with Virgin Atlantic allows you to review fare rules and choose add-ons
- The sale ends 2 June, but the lowest fares may sell out well before then

More about Virgin
Virgin Atlantic isn’t the cheapest airline on every route, but for long-haul flights they’re one of the best value-for-money choices you can make, especially if you care about what happens after you board.
Even their lowest-price “Economy Light” fare includes meals, drinks, in-flight entertainment and a full-sized carry-on bag, which you’ll often have to pay extra for on budget airlines. The seats are reasonably spacious, service is friendly without being over the top, and the entertainment system is genuinely decent. You’ll get proper headphones and a solid mix of new release films, TV shows, music and games. You’re not just being flown, you’re being looked after in a way that still feels human.
The experience at Heathrow is also better than most, with dedicated Virgin check-in desks and access to Terminal 3, which tends to have shorter queues than the busier Terminal 5. If you’re flying Upper Class or booking through Virgin Atlantic Holidays, you might also get free lounge access, which is a genuinely useful perk for long trips or early departures.
One of the other big pluses is their route network. Virgin fly direct to places that many airlines don’t serve without a layover, including Las Vegas, Tampa, Barbados, St Vincent and the Maldives. That makes them an especially good pick for anyone wanting to go somewhere a bit more interesting without multiple stops.
You might pay a little more upfront than a low-cost carrier, but what you get in return is comfort, convenience and better treatment. It often makes Virgin the smarter and less stressful choice.
